Does anyone have any info. on the Robert BARBER (b. abt. 1775-1776 England) who md. Elizabeth (Doherty) (b. abt. 1776-1780 S.C.). This couple was md. Dec. 18, 1798 in Lincoln Co., Ky. From what I have gotten, they went back to S.C. and their children were born and they were: James Barber b. abt. 1805 S.C. / Charles Barber b. 1806 S.C. / Sara Barber b. abt. 1807 S.C. Probably were others but I haven't found more yet. Robert & Elizabeth came to Pulaski Co., Ky. about the early 1820's and purchased land on the Rock Lick Creek area in Pulaski Co., Ky. Robert's last name of Barber has been found spelled: BARBER, BARBEE, BABER. On the marriage register of Lincoln Co., Ky. Robert's last name was spelled BARBEE, then on the marriage bond it was spelled BARBER. To my knowledge Robert & Elizabeth did not leave Pulaski Co., Ky. after they moved there and settled there. The children that I located lived close to them in the Rock Lick Creek region of Pulaski Co., Ky. Does anyone have any knowledge of Robert's parents? I found a William BARBER b. England at the Latter-Day Saints Library, this William would have been born abt. 1756-1758 England. Sure would like to correspond with someone who might have a knowledge of this couple!
