According to the 1820 census of Pulaski County, Ky. the spelling of Robert Barber is Barbour also the same for John. The ages match up for John and Mary and they are next to Robert anyway it is hard to read it shows that Robert had 7 or 8 children I think I can account for 4 and one wasn't born yet. Also I believe that the date of my ggg Grandfather Johns birth is off. He lists his age as 50 in the 1850 census so I think he was born in 1799 instead of 1797, it also matches better with his mother who lists her age as 66 in the 1850 census of course women have been known to lie about their age. So Elsie I think their is a better than 80% chance that Charles and James are sons of Robert and Priscilla, as their age and place of birth all match. Now I am going to try and find some birth records. I have sent for some microfiche from Heritage quest on SC births, so wish me luck. Regards; Jack
