Antrim in the early 1700's. They were first in Scotland for a time. In Ireland they were linin makers and migrated to South Carolina with the Rev. William Martin in 1773. This family was a large family, likely about 8 sons. It was told in our family that the family home in Ireland was "a veritable fortress", whatever that means. The 2 youngest son's James and John L. Barber left Ireland on the ship the Pennsylviana Farmer in 1773 (date ???). I am looking for the names of the parents of James and John L. Barber. They were from Glenwherry, County Antrim. Also, I would be curious to know if there are any Barbers still living in the County Antrim area today? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Jo Ann
