Ken, I've run into your William a few times in my research. My folks believe he was possibly related to our line. I can tell you a William whom we believe to be the same one married at the age of 14 or so in Bertie Co. NC a Nancy Griffin (I think that was her name) in the same year Fredrick Barber married Mary Bentley. Fredrick later came to Washington Co. and then to Houston and Pulaski. We believe William went to Clarke Co. which is possibly where the Griffins were from and later to Cobb. We think William and Fredrick were brothers, and we know Fredrick was the son of John Barber and Mary Street.
