Likewise, I am happy that the Moses Barber line is connecting and you have each other to search for the truth. Seems like you are making some headway. I am in the category of not being able to connect to any Barber family for nine years, even though it has been a daily hunt. I am not alone either, others have tried to connect without results for many many years. My ancestors are: John Barber, Esq. b 1719 d 1777 marr to Margaret--- Jesse Barber 1754-1839 marr to Johanna Shipman John Barber 1776-1842 mar 1st to Sara Schooley and 2nd to Elizabeth Coleman They were all from Sussex Co., NJ, now Warren Co., NJ. twp of Greenwich. They were also Presbyterians & farmers with some Bible preaching in their backgrounds. If anyone has any knowledge of this particular John Barber, Esq. b 1719 PARENTS, I would be ecstatic and forever grateful. Given names that run in three generations are: Samuel, Wm., Mathias, Isaac, Peter, Phineas, Jesse, John, Margaret, Lydia, Mary, Sarah, Johanna, Nancy, Robert, George, Phebe Ann, Elizabeth, Jane, Rachel, LaFayette, Charles, and Rebecca.....with Jesse & John being prominent. Some of my Barbers migrated as follows: NJ>NY>IL>CA Would love to hear your viewpoints and any possible clue. Thank you & good luck with your Barber search.....mine are elusive, to say the least !
