All, I had a few comments on my post for this line. Here is my version of the line based on my research. Previous notes have differences from mine. I don't have birth dates on most of the children. The data and comments previously posted has stimulated my thinking and generally what I have matches.d I have no family records, stories or background on this so I've primarily based it on deed records since I've found no will. I suspect there is no will, as it looks like the estate was divided up equally between the daughters, sons and the family left by William. If someone has family bible records or knows of a will, II would love to have a copy. I did use some of the DAR records for Mary Barber and Marie Wiggins, an Anson County genealogist who got me started on this line, may have used it as a source also. I think DAR records are generally very good but I have seen errors in them before. I cut this off at one generation but I do have the children of Mary Barber and Abraham Barb! er. Because of the confusion, between the two John Barbers, I am being very careful and cautious on this line. One last thought... I don't think Mary Allen? is the daughter of the John Barber's neighbor Richard Allen as Richard Allen was on the court appointed committee to divide up the land. I have read that the court does not appoint anyone that is related to the family to do the division and they also had to do the dower for Mary. Dan Generation No. 1 1. John Barber was born 1738, and died 1802 in Anson, NC. He married MARY ALLEN? 1754. She was born 1739, and died after February 11, 1819.
