According to my records Mary was born around 1796 and married Samuel Bryant of Clarke Co, GA. Also might mention that Robert Watkins was an ancestor of Mary and that she apparently named one of her sons after him in 1826. There is a lot of information available on the families of Capt George Barber and also Robert Watkins, Reese Watkins. BARBER of Bainbridge, NY. He was married to Lois WARNER? They had 2 sons that I know of maybe there was more siblings: George L. BARBER b. abt. 1872 in Bainbridge, NY. Edward BARBER b. abt. 1880 Bainbridge? George L. BARBER was married to ? possibly had children. Edward BARBER (my gr.grandfather?) married Alice KNAPP (my gr.grandmother) b. abt. 1882 in Watertown, NY. ****SCANDAL**** Edward and Alice's marriage fell apart or else Alice chose to just leave with Edward's brother George along with her child, Lois Della BARBER b. 1906 Bainbridge, NY., which belonged to her 1st husband Edward. Alice and George and baby Lois headed for TX., where my grandfather Jack G. BARBER b. 1909 was born. So either Alice was pregnant with her 1st husband's child when she left with the brother George or it just may be that the Uncle to my grandfather was actually his real father. If anyone has any suggestions or tidbits, I would be thrilled to hear from you. P.S. George L. BARBER left behind a wife and possibly children when he left with his sister-in-law. 1. [BARBER-L] John Barber
    2. Trying to find the John Barber that married Frances Marsh around 1880. Lived in Texas then moved to Okla. Some of their children were Bertha, Silas,Lee,Verdie, and possibly a Walter. Frances had sisters named Edna, Bee,Anna, and brothers named Shed and Shack, these were probably nicknames or their names could have been Shedrack and Meshack. John Barber married a second time to Ellen Hines, and had a son named Charlie Barber. Have evidence that sisters Edna and Bee lived in Newport Texas, this could be where the Barbers lived at the time of their marriage. I believe their move to Okla. was somewhere around 1900. Also think they lived in the Mountain View Okla. area. Hope someone can help me as I've hit a solid wall with this part of family. Please email me at GPD9@aol.com Phyllis
