Diane & Ed, Although I don't have "older" info on Franz Grebeldinger, I did want to offer that Ed and I are second cousins. I just searched the older Banat posts and realized I missed your post last October looking for info on Franz Grebeldinger. The first wife of Franz Grebildinger, Helen Gasko [Ed's grandmother], is a sister of my grandmother, Magdalena [Vilma] Gasko. Of the five children in this Gasko family, three relocated to the Detroit area and two remained in the New York/New Jersey area. I think that there must have been some "extra" connection between Ed's mother, Isabell Grebeldinger Budd Rasmussen and my mother, Eleanor Vanek Jacobs [first cousins], even though my mother left New York City with her family before 1920. I recall that when I found Isabell's obituary a few months after she passed away in 1998 and told my mother, she was quite sad. I have Gasko family info to share, if you would like. This includes our immediate Gasko family as well as efforts to connect Gasko's from Pardan who were ancestors of a number of older Banat list subscribers. Dave Dreyer, who responded to your Banat photo post, was instrumental in providing info & incentive to get the Gasko connection effort going a number of years ago [thanks again, Dave!]. I also have a possible idea on where to search for more Grebeldinger's [Detroit/Wyandotte area]. I suggest we take more detailed communication off-list. My email is jerry_jacobs at comcast.net Thanks for your post, Jerry Jacobs
