It's interesting that you can be on the list for over a decade and still learn things that you didn't know (immigration pattern-wise). I didn't realize there were Banaters from the western border of Luxembourg and Belgium. I had always thought these Luxembourgers were from the eastern regions, and the areas that fell under Luxembourg long ago, that are now part of Germany (the Bitburg area, etc). In researching my Aron/Arend/Arent line, I found a couple of men in Stader from 'Perl', which I assumed was the Perl that is on the border of Lux/France/Germany. Seeing Richard's mention of 'Perle' below, and seeing it on the border of Lux/Belgium makes me wonder if THAT was the Perl/Perle they were from. My line dead-ends with a Nicholas Aron/Arrent from Luxembourg, but I was never able to definitively identify the village of "Ritteburg" he was listed as being from. I assumed it was either a poorly transcribed "Bitburg" or maybe nearby Rittersdorf. If these Aron's in Stader were actually from Perle (Lux), maybe they are indeed connected to my line somehow, and maybe Ritteburg was a village near there, lost to history.
