    3. Bastian, I see that Glenn Schwartz has recomended genealogist Stasa Cvetovic.  Stasa has done two research projects for us and he did a fantastic job.  We were very pleased and will likely use him again for another line.  Cathy From: "banat-request@rootsweb.com" <banat-request@rootsweb.com> To: banat@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, January 23, 2017 5:36 PM Subject: BANAT Digest, Vol 12, Issue 31 Send BANAT mailing list submissions to     banat@rootsweb.com To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit     http://lists9.rootsweb.ancestry.com/mailman/listinfo/banat or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to     banat-request@rootsweb.com You can reach the person managing the list at     banat-owner@rootsweb.com When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of BANAT digest..." He lives in Serbia, but often travels to Romania for genealogical work. synergia@gmail.com Another possibility is Sorin Fortiu. He is very expert in genealogy and history. He does not drive and is not very active in genealogy any more, but you can give him a try. sorinfortiu@gmail.com Glenn Schwartz President, Zichydorf Village Association (http://zichydorfonline.org) Searching: Schwartz, Kleckner, Sch?nherr in Zichydorf, Banat; Sch?ssler, Millecker, Lenhardt in Kudritz, Banat; Schwartz, Kory, Pierson/Person in Morawitza, Banat; Kalupsky/Chalupsky in Blumenthal, Banat; Bardua, Kandel, Heuchert in Kolomea, Galicia; Kuntz, Holzer, Kraft, Wolfe, Folk (Volk) in Kutschurgan, Russia; Macht in Volga, Russia. Stasa helped me search through the old cemeteries, taking photos of tombstones, etc.  He found decent hotels for us to stay at and knew much of the history of the area during the period of our ancestors. Bottom line:  I had a wonderful experience and came home with hundreds of copies of documents relating to my family. No matter how you go or who you hire, enjoy yourself!  Try to visualize how the place was during the time of our ancestors.  At times, I could almost see my grandparents as young children working in the fields or playing in the streets.  It was a trip of a lifetime and one I shall never forget.
