*It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Hans (John) Weidner. Hans passed away on Jan 14, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born to Johann and Elizabeth Weidner on May 13, 1924 in Hatzfeld, Romania. He had battled dementia for the past few years but passed away peacefully and with dignity. * *John's family are loyal supports of the Danube Schwabian community and our sincere condolences go out to his entire family. He is survived by his two sons, daughters-in-law and two grandsons, John & Chris-Berggren Weidner of San Diego, CA., grandsons--Mike Weidner of Fullerton, CA and Jeff Weidner of Orange, CA., and Joe & Debbie Weidner of Prescott Valley, AZ. * *There will be a "Celebration of Life" in his honor on Friday, March 17th at 10:00 AM at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California (760-754-6600 <(760)%20754-6600>). **Internment will be immediately following the service with a reception to follow .
