Help is needed to find a marriage record for my great aunt Elisabetha Servo to Menyolt Renon in the Banat. I'd also like to find birth records for her three daughters Katharina, Barbara and Rosa who were born in the Banat. Here is what I know: Familienbuch Deutsch Zerne record 10228 lists Elisabetha's birth in 1866. She is my grandfather's older sister. According to passenger list records she came to Detroit in 1921 with her three daughters Katharina, Barbara and Rosa, but her husband was not with her. Those records indicate they were coming from Heufeld, but there is no record of them in the Heufeld Family Book. Curiously, the Heufeld FB record R048 lists another Elisabeth Servo married to a Melchoir Renon. But that person is shown to have died in 1909 and is not my great aunt. The David Dreyer emigration list on rootsweb shows the family came from Billed with two of the daughters born there and the oldest daughter born in Minaei, which is not in the list of Banat villages. Katharina filed for citizenship in 1954 and lists her birthplace as Nemit, Saint Michael, Hungary, which is today called Sânmihaiu German, Romania. Is there another book for this place?
