As some may have noticed, the Banat List was unavailable for on the 24th and part of the 25th of October. Here is the statement released by Ancestry: As you know, RootsWeb is a collection of products that has grown organically over the last two decades. Many of these have not been updated or maintained in years. Ancestry is currently working on updating and revising World Connect, Mailing Lists, and hosted sites such as Free Pages over the next twelve months; however, all other products and functionality are under review. We will continue to notify you of updates here as decisions are made. The Banat List is part of Rootsweb, so this list is subject to review and possible elimination. To avoid possible loss of the information contained in this thread, I am copying all of the Archives for this list, along with the Member email addresses. Should Ancestry determine that the Band List is no longer a part of their free services, I will endeavor to migrate the information to a new host for continued service.
