Linda, If I have it right Botosch(Botos) is located on the Temesch a bit south of Ernsthausen. In addition to Setschan and Ernsthausen, Sartscha, D Etschka, and Sigmundfeld are other German villages in the neighborhood. However, so far as I am aware, Botosch KB records are not included in any of these places. This leads to the view, in my mind, that Botosch must be a stand alone parish and that one would have to search for the KBs probably in the NeuSatz archives. Hi Dave, There isn’t a family book for Botosch, so I was wondering about the church records themselves - whether Botosch kept its own over some period of time, or whether all births were recorded in a parish elsewhere. A good suggestion I got from Rudolf Hüpfl to try the Setschan records unfortunately yields no information - Josef Jerhoff isn’t in the birth index for any time around 1879, the year he was born.
