Should know the context the term was used. "Zeitgeist" is the thinking and feeling of people within a determined historical epoch. For example, Zeitgeist which was ruling during the 40th, the centuries turn and so on. The combination of Zeitgeist and ancestry ("Abstammung") doesn't make sense without context.
