I believe we had 15 attendees at the Banat get-together in the Twin Cities this past weekend (a bunch of Donauschwaben plus three Romanian friends). That's pretty good with less than a week's notice. There was excellent conversation about regional history, towns, families, and food. A good time was had by all. Thanks to Steve Herold for coming to town and spurring us to this impromptu gathering. This event came up quickly and is very much a friendly group date rather than a formal meeting. Anyone with a regional interest will be welcome (i.e., not limited to Donauschwaben ancestry).
