    3. Hello everyone! I had such a great time at the Treffen and in the States! Of course, I have seen just a small piece of your great land, but Leah Ott and Ray Borschowa made a great job in showing me as much as possible. Leah and Ed presented me beautiful part of the Pacific coast around Oceanside, Cape Meares State Park with the most beautiful forest and the lighthouse, we visited Tillamook Air Museum, cheese factory and have a seafood lunch in a picturesque and homely eatery. Leah has also shown me farmland in the area and we have been together in Mt. Angel at the first day of the Octoberfest and we have visited the Abbey together. I enjoyed her farm and would not trade it for a 5* hotel! Ed and Harrison were as hospitable as it gets! Ray was a great guide to the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, Vista House, Multnomah Falls and Bonneville Dam. Also, he gave me the thorough tour of Silverton and Mt. Angel. All of you were so friendly and hospitable! Land is most beautiful, but the greatest treasure are the people I have met! My utmost gratitude goes to Mr. John Michels and the University of Mary who made my trip possible by generously sponsoring it, to Mrs. Rosina Schmidt, *spiritus movens* of the group, to Dr. Henry Fischer, David Preston and last but not least, Dave Dreyer whom I admire greatly! Many thanks to all my friends who were there, Glenn Schwartz, Nena Close, Ileen and her husband Bryant, her sister Lu Ann who could not be there but thought of me, Sheryl, Ted and Marlene Strand. Big hello to everyone else I have met there for the first time! Thanks for the presents and thanks for the friendship! My extended gratitude goes to my friend and one among best British genealogist, Mr. Stephen Rigden from London who proofread my presentation. Please excuse me if I have forgotten someone! I am still shaky from the trip and, Ray, yes I caught the airplane cold again! Everything was so great that I even forgive my travel agent who gave me the shortest connection time in the history of commercial traveling so it was inevitable to miss my flight to Budapest and the lady at the Heathrow Airport in London who put me to the next flight, but to Helsinki instead to Budapest. Thank God, I have checked the ticket sometime later while I was chewing my fish & chips, waiting for the flight. Love you all!
