    3. Hello to Valerie Andres, with a postscript to Dave Dreyer on the Andres family in Ernsthausen. I have been interested in the Andres family for a while, and have taken a few notes on them, because they seem to interact quite a lot with my Heh/Hoh family, mainly as godparents at christenings, back and forth. They have also on occasion married a Heh, though no one on my direct tree, and none from the list that Dave provided in response to Valerie's inquiry. And so, I do seem to remember that there was a Jacob Andress in Ernsthausen during that time. But, as Dave is indicating, he may not be the same one, as a brother to George, because he would have been a lot older than George. Anyway, for what it's worth, Jacob Andress married in Ernsthausen in 1840 to Anna Stahl. He was listed as a widow, of the age of 56, with a notation that he was originally from Vitsburg. His first wife was Margaret NN, who died in 1836. He died April 4, 1852, this time with an age of 70, and the note this time for place of origin was Vildsburg in Germania. I would be interested if anyone in the Andres family knows of any connection to the Heh/Hoh family. I am also curious, if anyone knows, if Jacob's place of origin might be Bitburg, Germany, as the Google map did not have anything quite like Vitsburg or Vildsburg. All the best, Marilyn
