John, I just want to let you know that there is at least one Gasko researcher who is still part of the Banat mailing list. A few years ago there were at least four of us. I have lost touch with two and a third is still interested, but has a lot of other family commitments. I am still extremely interested and have done some additional research in the last few years, Unfortunately, I have been limited by recurring health issues. I had hoped to attend the last Mt. Angel event and trade beers with Dave, but I was not well enough. Some of the additional, expanded Gasko research: I expanded and added to Dave Dreyer's ship manifest data for Gasko/Gaszko and related surnames looking for connections. Some years ago there was a group of Banat List subscribers interested in the GASKO surname. Most, if not all, of these have dropped by the wayside over the years but you should be able to track them via the Banat list archives. Many of these came from Michigan where most of the Pardaners to North America settled, particularly Detroit.. Some of these may have considerable data on the GASKO line. There is a Pardan family book by Porte and his wife, which covers the years 1801 to 1835 where you will find much early Gasko data and which is available from the AVBF.
