    3. I don't know if this is the appropriate venue for these questions. My mother-in-law's maternal family (Muller) came from what was then Hungary, now in Romania. They (the Mullers and also the Griisers) record the town as Koenigsburg, near Timisoara. My research identified a Konigsburg which I believe is now Remetea Mica, an estimated 20 miles from Timisoara. I find this fascinating, especially since, I believe Muller is German and could be part of the major emigrations of people from Germany to that area of Hungary. I believe Konigsburg was founded in 1771.  Am I correct so far in my research and my conclusions? Is Griiser also German? Finally, my mother-in-law's paternal (maiden) name was Gaszko, which I saw a reference which indicated it is also Hungarian. Is that correct? Thank you for your time and consideration. John K. I know they had one son Sebastian *24 Dec 1798 who married Katharina Sotreil *21 Apr 1803 of Triebswetter. Looking for a mention of any other children. Also looking for a Nicolaus Regnier *1797 +16 nov 1847. I know that he married Anna Maria Schreiber *31 Jul 1802 +1 Sep 1883. He is the first entry for that surname and it looks like most of the Regniers in Triebswetter all descend from Nicolaus. There are several other children listed, and Sebastian was a twin.     3. John; Yes you are in the right place. Remetea Mica is Koenigshof not Koenigsburg. There is no Koenigsburg in the Banat. As you will appreciate, Mueller is a common German surname and occurs in every Banat village. One cannot say anthing definate about Muellers without having the Koenigshof church books(KBs) at hand. Anna Pfeifauf is working on a family book for Koenigshof which should be published in due course. See; http://www.banat-genealogie.de/haupt1/familienbuecher4.html Gasko, Gaszko, Kasko etc, etc. is a rare surname and is mostly associated with the village of Pardan but like almost all other unique surnames can be found in a number of other Banat villages. Some years ago there was a group of Banat List subscribers interested in the GASKO surname. Most, if not all, of these have dropped by the wayside over the years but you should be able to track them via the Banat list archives. Many of these came from Michigan where most of the Pardaners to North America settled, particularly Detroit.. Some of these may have considerable data on the GASKO line. There is a Pardan family book by Porte and his wife, which covers the years 1801 to 1835 where you will find much early Gasko data and which is available from the AVBF.
