I share the sentiments of all who have posted over the Christmas period. I too have Banat Grandparents who are so deeply missed at Christmas. They loved Christmas and devoted themselves to preserving a very special tradition for us kids. Now I do this with my own adult children--and try to explain why we do what we do and where these traditions came from. This year I decided to dedicate a special christmas tree decoration to each of our missing family members. My grandfather's decoration was a girl riding on a flying swan because it reminded me of Opa's bedtime story ...
