Thank you for this. Although difficult to read, it is important for us as human beings to remember what we are capable of doing to one another, and to try to prevent similar horrors. But unfortunately it happens more often than we may want to admit. Consider also the so-called "comfort women" provided to Japanese soldiers during WWII, and rape of women during the Bosnian war.
