Hi Charles,      Are you referring to Jean Arnau/Arnan/Arnon who married Marguerite Collat in Mercydorf  on !2 Feb 1771?  According the Mercydorf village tree (early family book) I have constructed, he died on 7 Mar 1771 at the age of 22.  His wife then married Pierre Petitjean on 6 May 1771 in Mercydorf.  According to the information in the early Mercydorf records, he lived in Neubeshenowa.  Are you sure he was from Arracourt?  I did not find that in the records.  If this is your fellow, I will take another look at the pages.
