Hans; There is an entry in Stader(Sammelwerk donauschwaebischer Kolonisten) which appears to be your family. Birkenheuer Josef from Mastershausen /Hunsruck wife Elisabeth NN. Kids Josef *1749 Andreas *1750 Margaret *1754 Johann *1760 The chuch records(KBs) from Mastershausen and nearby places are available from the FHL in Salt Lake on microfilm and you should be able to see them in a FHC in Germany. I had family in Gr Jetscha which also came from Mastershausen and viewed this film some years ago. Incidentially, there were several Banat Birkenhaeuer families which moved to North Dakota and must be related. These families are detailed below. Birkenheuer Hello Mr. Dreyer, I has got to know you have access to a lot of data about the families Birkenheier. I hope I this my inquiry with you is right. I do research for some time after my forefathers, the family Birkenheier, Birkenheuer, Birkenheyer or also other manners of writing. My Birkenheiers must have emigrated after my present Recherschen possibly about 1765 bis1770 to Grabatz in the Roumanian Banat. According to the church registers of Grabatz it should have been Josef Birkenheuer. married before 1749 with a N.N.Elisabeth.sie 9/10/1771 passed away + in Grabatz / Banat He had 4 children. Josef, * about 1749 Lorraine............. 1. oo in 1776 Zerlaut Magdalena, * about Lorraine?1753 .......................................................... 2. oo in 1802 Fritz Susanna * 23.09 1780 hunt fields Andreas, * about 1750 Lorraine............. oo in 1776 Paul Viola, * about 1755 Waldesch Margarethe, * about 1754 Lorraine Johann. * about 1760 Bryon or Brion?. . oo in 1781 Wagner Anna Maria *14.08.1764 Boglar in my opinion are very inexact the data. Remark: Josef Birkenhheuer, or other manners of writing, is not stated in the Viennese lists. Very much warscheinlicher origin space is the Südpfalz around Pirmasens or immediately bordering Lorraine. As said so it stands in the OFB of Grabatz. For me it would be of Interresse, where from the Birkenheuer from Germany are. I would be very grateful if to me somebody weiterhefen would be able. All data and tips please send.
