Bega FB Aurelheim Lookup SELTSAM I am new to the list and hope that I am following proper protocol in asking for help. I have hit that "brick wall" in researching the Seltsam family, it doesn't seem to be a common surname, from what I understand seltsam mean strange or queer in German, maybe thats why? Anyways here is the information that I have. Jozef Seltsam born abt 1857 married Anna Straki born abt 1867, she was from Aurelheim (her mothers name was possibly Karolina). According to Jozef's passenger list information he was not from Aurelheim, the village is listed as Dlck? There were three children, Mathias Seltsam born 1883, Georg Marc Seltsam born 1891 and Anna Seltsam born1903. Anna Straki had a son Nikolaus Straki born 1887. I believe this was a second marriage for both Jozef and Anna. George Seltsam, my great grandfather and Nikolaus Staki immagrated to Wyandotte, Michigan and afterwards rest of family came there. Any help is so greatly appreciated! Thanks. Dar
