Hi Steve, Since you mentioned that the wife Anna ROTH was from Serb Zerne, and listed their children, I am guessing that you already have the family's info from the D Zerne Familienbuch. The Heufeld Fb lists only 1 Nikolaus Remsing, but since the children of Nikolaus & Anna Roth were born beginning in 1874, the parents were *probably* born around 1850. The Nikolaus that is listed in Heufeld was born in 1814, and so is probably too old to be the same person, even if Anna Roth were a 2nd wife. I also checked the Molidorf Fb, since there were many REMSING families there, but your Nikolaus is not listed.
