Dear Listers, After a recent inquiry to the List, Fran Matkovich kindly sent to me the GESTRICH entries in the Hatzfeld book. In consulting Fran afterwards, we decided to pose the following to the List. I have been trying to find a connection between my 4g-grandmother, Gertrud GESTRICH (oo Peter CHRIST, #1472) and the other Gestrich's of Hatzfeld. At the end of this message, I will paste the listings that puzzle me, and hope someone might help me to figure it out, if at all possible, with extreme apologies if I'm missing something obvious. In studying Johann Zaver GESTRICH, #s 3098 and 3100, it seems that he married his first wife in Drolshagen, and his second wife in Hatzfeld. But then I see #3099, Franz Xaver GESTRICH with the exact same birth date and death date as Johan Zaver-G. Yet, based on his immediate family info, he / 3009 seems to be an entirely different person. So I am wondering if he could be a twin, which would explain the birth date, but it seems too coincidental to also die on the same day. Or, I suppose just human error. But I find myself wondering if it's possible that Franz-X is real, and if so, might he have had an earlier child in Drolshagen (my 4g-gr Gertrud) who just didn't get connected to him in the records? I understand that the info at hand might not yield an answer on this, but I'm just thinking about whether to try to research this possibility further at some point. (Parenthetically, I am including the listing at the end for Gertrud's second husband, Nikolaus WAGNER, in case there might be some links to Wagners among the List).
