Hi Robert: When I saw Robtbach in the e-mail below, I thought the spelling was not far off from Rothbach and googled that. The search turned a map for Rothbach in Romania near Kronstadt, Transylvania ( present day Brasov, Romania). This is the text that was under the map: Name shown on the map: Veresmart v Rothbach Administrative unit: Brasso kerulet Kronstädter Distrikt Romanian Name: Rotbav Districtul Brasov Hungarian Name: Szászveresmart German Name: Rotbach Country Today: Romania Here is a link to the map if you want to look at it. http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/31/Grand_Ducy_of_Transylvania_(mini).jpg/700px-Grand_Ducy_of_Transylvania_(mini).jpg&imgrefurl=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Josephinische_Landaufnahme_pg259.jpg&usg=__B1YFd5vH9-jmtnH6j4WIPqzybBo=&h=527&w=700&sz=132&hl=en&start=243&um=1&tbnid=OWI1C0hUh9vC5M:&tbnh=105&tbnw=140&prev=/images%3Fq%3DRothbach%26ndsp%3D18%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1W1ADFA_en%26sa%3DN%26start%3D234%26um%3D1 It is perhaps only a coincidence and no connection at all to Robtbach.
