She will be sharing her story about the years she spent in death camps as well as her fathers story of being in a Ukrainian labor camp. 10:00pm Joseph Simon Historian, Librarian Mr. Simon has devoted years of research in the expulsion of the ethnic German cleansing. His knowledge of the history of the ethnic Germans in eastern Europe will be shared as well as the reasons for the expulsion. 11:00am Eberhard Fuhr Retired Marketing and Sales Management BA Ohio University, MBA University of Wisconsin The prewar Alien Registration Act of 1940, whereby an eternal passport was required; the arrest of 60,000 “mostly German” according to the Assistant Attorney General Hearings whereby, lawyers were prohibited will be one of many issues discussed. Mr. Fuhr goes in depth about the FDR Exclusion order #9066; the location of 50 internment facilities, life in internment and indefinite terms will be discussed using a Power Point Presentation. This lecture will be complimented by the lecture given by Dr. Kearn Schemm on Friday, February 26th at 12:00PM in the Meramec Theater. 12:00pm Dr. Tom Sunic U. S. Professor and Author Ph. D. Political Science at University of California Published Author on Cultural Pessimism, Heritage and Meta-Politics Writer and Translator of French, German, English and Croatian Dr. Sunics' lecture is entitled The Fate of the Danube Germans in Yugoslavia in the Wake of WWII. The focus will be on what has happened to the ethnic German population in regards to their inability to take part in the political aspects of their home land. .............................................................
