    3. Hello, Has anyone on this list ever used Die mainfrankische Auswanderung nach Ungarn und den österr. Erbländern im 18. Jahrhundert Stmnt.Resp. von Alfons Prenzinger? According the bibliography in the Klugesherz Mercydorf book that I have, the work of researcher Georg Reiser can be found in this publication, specifically in Die Mercydorfer Feldbesitzer in Jahr 1774, In: Deutsche Forschungen in Ungarn Jg. 6, 1941, H. 1, S. 36-46. It appears that the list of field owners Reiser found in the Hungarian archives also included places of origin.  I know that my Leonhard Teufel/Teuffel is on the list in House # 55, however, the Mercydorf book I have does not indicate what other information was listed for Leonhard, if any.   Are the original documents available for study now?  I understand that Herr Reiser did his research 70 years ago. Were the original documents he used on microfilm then or have they since been placed on microfilm?  I am sure that they would be of great interest to researchers.  I know the Prenzinger work is on microfilm, but that is not a primary source. I am interested in learning how Reiser organized his own presentation of the land owner information.  Is it in chart form?  If so, what are the column headings? Reiser's work really was a major undertaking, and it has benefitted many Banat researchers.  It is clear that Petri incorporated what he found in Reiser's work into his own Mercydorf Original Settlers List. I How the former soldier Leonhard Teufel's place of origin has managed to slip under the radar for so long is still quite a mystery to me. Thank you for any help you can give me. Sincerely, Cathy Teufel O'Neill

    3. Hi Cathy I have the book Auswanderung nach Ungarn und den österr. Erbländern im 18. Jahrhundert in my library. The originally book was printed in Vienna 1941, but I have a reprinted version from the year 1984 ... The first 50 pages give informations about the situations in the Mainfränkische region, and ca 150 pages name listings. I think: Deutsche Forschungen in Ungarn Jg. 6, 1941, H. 1, S. 36-46. is a other book?- I dont have this.
