    3. To: John McClellan I remember them being called "Pollachinka". I had a fondness for the ones filled with cottage cheese. I've pasted in a recipe (not mine) for them below: GROSSE PANAKUCHEN (Large Thin Pancakes) (From Lefor Cookbook) Ingredients 5 eggs, beaten 2 cups flour 2 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 3 Tbsp cooking oil 2-1/2 cups milk Directions Beat eggs; add salt, sugar and flour alternatively with milk until smooth and thin. Pour 1/4 cup batter into a greased hot pan so it covers all of the bottom of the pan. Swirl pan to make sure batter is spread thin. Fry very quickly on both sides until a light, golden brown. Fill with jelly or fruit. Roll up and serve hot. Should make about 20 pancakes. Goes well with bean or potato soup.
