Hi Cathy, I am happy to own a copy of the article of Georg Reiser. It is a follow up of the article of Georg Reiser "Wandlungen der Ortschaft Mercydorf" In: Neue Heimatblätter 1 (1935/36, S. 97-114. The text of 1941 is a list (in text form) of 191 settlers ordered by the former house #. The given informations are compiled from different sources mostly from the state archive in Budapest. Places of origin were extracted from the Mercydorf parish books or Wilhelm&Kallbrunner. Entry für #55: Leonhardt Teufel (Teufel), 1/2 (Bauer); unbestimmter Herkunft = origin unknown. It seems as most of the names and sizes of landownership is from were taken from a map of Mercydorf: "Beschreibung des Plans von dem Teutschen Orth Mercydorf". (1774) Staatsarchiv Budapest. According the bibliography in the Klugesherz Mercydorf book that I have, the work of researcher Georg Reiser can be found in this publication, specifically in Die Mercydorfer Feldbesitzer in Jahr 1774, In: Deutsche Forschungen in Ungarn Jg. 6, 1941, H. 1, S. 36-46. It appears that the list of field owners Reiser found in the Hungarian archives also included places of origin.? I know that my Leonhard Teufel/Teuffel is on the list in House # 55, however, the Mercydorf book I have does not indicate what other information was listed for Leonhard, if any. ? Are the original documents available for study now?? I understand that Herr Reiser did his research 70 years ago. Were the original documents he used on microfilm then or have they since been placed on microfilm?? I am sure that they would be of great interest to researchers.? I know the Prenzinger work is on microfilm, but that is not a primary source. I am interested in learning how Reiser organized his own presentation of the land owner information.? Is it in chart form?? If so, what are the column headings?
