John; I don't have copies of the KBs for Kl St Nikolaus but with your clue that Elisabeth Uhli died in Massdorf was what I needed to find her in the Massdorf KBs. I paste the entry below. The last deaths recorded in Massdorf/Heufeld were in Aug and one in Sept before the Serbs and Russians took over and essentially wiped out that part of the population which had not fled. Do you perhaps have access to a KB for Klein Nicholaus an der Theiss where my mother, nee Elisabeta Uhli, was born August 20, 1912? I would dearly love to know the first name of her mother and father. I know widowed Grandma Uhli died at our house in Mastort in early 1944 but I don't know what happened to Grandpa Uhli. Any way, forgive me if I'm asking for too much of it. Besides my mother, the Uhlis had two other children -- Anna Uhli, who died at age 8, and Georg Uhli, who died of pneumonia or a fall of a horse (not sure which) as a German soldier circa 1942 or '43.
