Hi Boglarka, According to what I discovered, the Tevel records for 1742 on are legible.  People in the one of the Teufel lines I am researching have been able to decipher family birth and death dates from those records.  Unfortunately, the Teufel I am seeking was born about 1741, so I would love to know where these records can be found. Would you happen to know if there is a Roman Catholic Episcopal diocesan library in Szekszard?  I have been advised by Henry Fischer and Rosina Schmidt that old records were often kept in such places for protection.
