    3. Hello, In regards to the Till name, my father mentions a Till family in the Baltimore area in his autobiography. Don't know if this information is of use to you, but the Tills had a small farm in English Counsel (near Baltimore, Severn, MD) about 1920. My father's father hired John Till, age 16, to work in his grocery in Locust Pt., Baltimore, MD. My father visited the farm and had these comments: "I got well acquainted with John’s folks, especially his brother, Martin, and sister Anna. I spent a good part of that summer at their place. I liked to help harness and hitch the horse to the buggy. They drove the buggy to deliver milk to their customers in English Counsel. The mother milked the cow and strained the milk. Anna’s job was to clean bottles and help fill them. Martin’s job was delivering. We picked a bushel basket of cherries and took them to my father’s store and he sold them. It was at the Till’s farm where I spent a good deal of my time swimming in the pond nearby." (The Till father worked as a machinist in West Port, MD. He was a friend of my grandfather's and was from the same province in the "old country". My grandfather, John Hovaker, was from Gyarmata, Temes. Temesvar. He came to Baltimore about 1904.) Please contact me if anyone has knowledge of these folks living in the Baltimore area in the early 1900's: Hovaker, Holzinger, Schwiegerath, Kraushaar, Szendef, Kruger, Krieger _________________________________________________________________ Your E-mail and More On-the-Go.
