Hello,   My grandparents immigrated to the United States from the Banat area.  I have been able to get a lot of family background from my mother's cousin, but here is one piece of info I cannot retrieve.   My grandmother, Katerina Letang Nothof, was born to Susanna Haas in 1889.  No father's name was given, but my grandmother's maiden name was Letang.  No one in the family ever spoke of who her father was, so it might be impossible to locate a first name or the Letang  family who had lived in that area at that time.  My grandmother died at a very early age in March of 1937.  I was just a very young girl at that time.   My grandmother married Anton Nothof who I believe was also from that area.  Foolishly, I never asked him anything about my grandmother's family.  No one ever wanted to talk about their life in Europe.  My grandfather would tell me, "That's all in the past.  Look forward."   My cousin told  me to contact your web site to request if anyone knew anything about the Letangs in the late 1880's.  I would appreciate this very much  My cousin told me to subscribe to your website.  How do I do this.    Thank you for your help.   Joan Denton Omaha, Nebraska U.S.A.
