Dear Banaters, My family emigrated from Bohemia or possibly through Moravia in late 18th or early 19th century. Two of them show up in 1828 census in two tiny towns. Presumably they were Jews when they left, but it may be they converted to Catholicism later. The Catholics did not have a church in these towns, but may be listed in the following books. If they were still Jewish, they may have been listed in the back of these books as the clergy had been charged with keeping a separate record of Jews, at least in some parts of Habsburg Empire. If someone has these books and can search for VUDL or WUDL, it would be most appreciated.
