Born June 17, 1927, in Romania, the son of Anton and Anna (nee Stoll) Engelmann, he passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Lorenz had a true passion for life centered from his endearing love for his wife of 61 years, Rose. He was a tremendously hardworking man with a contagious spirit that touched so many. He established Town & Country Gardens floral shop in 1962, currently run by his son and grandson. Lorenz loved gardening and the outdoors. There wasn't a day that went by, rain, shine or snow, that kept him from "working and having fun." Ota will always and forever be remembered by his family and loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose, to whom he was married on Jan. 21, 1949, in Austria; children, Anton F. "Andy" (Laurel) Engelmann of Huntley and Rosina E.
