Debbie - I have combed through Ruskodorf records at the local LDS Family History Library. The records start at approx 1806 and stop at 1840 for births & deaths and 1853 for marriages. Unfortunately the name Nothof is not listed in indexes for births, deaths, or marriages occuring up in that time period in the towm of Ruskodorf. Perhaps the family moved to Ruskodorf from another town after that time. Hope this helps guide your search. The Banat List is a wonderful resource with so many folks giving their time to help one another. I know I am indebted! They were from Ruskodorf and their destination was to an uncle, Christof Sebastian in Chiago. That is the easy part. No one has the Ruskodorf church books(KBs)----that I know of. That means that the KBs will have to be consulted in what ever archives they are deposited in-----probably Gr Kikinda. This would require a trip to the archives or contact a researcher in Serbia to do it for a fee. > If you want to follow the latter option I can recomend a lady who lives in Gr Kikinda. She is frequently used by Banat List subscribers. Steve has probably recomended that you subscribe to the Banat List. If not, you should consider it. It is possible that you can find other Ruskodorf researchers on the list. > Dave Dreyer > ----- Original Message ----- > From: DaJoDane@aol.com > To: ddreyer@pacbell.net > Sent: Thursday, September 16, 2010 2:17 PM > Subject: Nothof family help? > > > > Hello Dave, > > I am trying to research my family.
