My Father AND Mother's family came from 2 Villages; Zerne and Hatzfeld in the Banat. I am pure bred donuswaban. Mt GGrandmother left her genealogy which traced her family back to Germany. The others, Dad's family, Great Grandfather's ancestors etc were never revealed to me in years of searching. Then Dave Dwyer announced a researcher was going to publish a book on the Zerne village. I sent a donation to help with the research. Today the books arrived. The Hornungs (Helga & Anton) searched thru records in Latin, German, Serb and Hungarian languages. They looked in church and civil records. OMG the nailed all of my family. 3 children who died under the ages of 3 that I never heard of, god-parents of all the families children etc. When I found my GFathers there it then led me to their fathers and mothers. Those also led me back to their parents, etc. i can't tell you how excited I am to add all this to my personal family tree. I have a 6 year old grandson, last of the line. To have all this to pass on to him is such a joy. I am (as of yesterday) 81 years old. I am glad to pull this all together for him.
