Over the years, I've developed (with lots of help) a sort of glossary of Banat abbreviations and symbols. It's quite long, so rather than try to email it to the list in pieces, I'll email it in total to anyone interested. Cathy Deschu in eastern Pennsylvania - waiting for 4th snowstorm this month - good thing I like snow
Bonsoir Cathy, I am very interested; I am a frequent user of FB of "french villages" in Banat, looking for my cousins there (GRIFFATON, LEFORT, GUENARDE, HAMANT, LAURENT, ADAM, VILLER, REGNIER, DEHAND, etc...) But, as I don't speak german (and I do have a bad english), these abbreviations are always difficult for me. Thanks in advance, Daniel HILAIRE Bordeaux PS : Is your name with french origin ? PS2 : At the moment I am working in Bishkek where usually there is a lot of snow during winter; but nothing this year ! > Date: Wed, 24 Feb 2010 21:54:17 -0800 > From: cjdeschu@yahoo.com > To: banat@rootsweb.com > Subject: [BANAT-L] abbreviations and symbols > > Over the years, I've developed (with lots of help) a sort of glossary of Banat abbreviations and symbols.
