Stephanie: I have been watching the emails regarding the name Koeppinger. I am not sure if the spelling changed in America, but my oldest sister was married to a Pete Koppinger from the Lefor/New England, ND area. I also have a cousin who was married to a Louis Koppinger from Regent, ND. Pete and Louie were cousins. They are now both deceased. Don't know if this helps in your search. I will leave the search up to you----put some of the Bulgarian place nemes in Stephanie's message into the search slot to start. I found the Surname Miok in several Banat Cities: including Macedonia in the 1828 Hungarian Census. Thanks in advance for any info. Peter C.
