Lee; It is highly unlikely that Michael Streitmatter was born in Moritzfeld/Schartzwald-----assuming there is such a place. Migration to the Banat was largely finished about 1810. It must refer to Moritzfeld/Banat. Aside from this, the first Streitmatter in the Banat was a Johann Streitmatter *1745, +14 Dec 1785 Ulmbach. It is very likely that your guy is decended from this Johann Streitmatter. A bunch of the Ulmbach Streitmetters moved to Setschan where it is a relatively common surname. Note that Dolatz is just down the road from Ulmbach. Johann STREITMATTER from Ulmbach is not the oldest member of this family in Banat. He was a Salpeterer's son; STRITTMATTER Johann & TREYER Rosina; see Dudestii Noi FB [the one done by Hans Grimm!], page 1234, entrance S1149. In Moritzfeld is another STREITMA(R)TTER family also originally from Schwarzwald [99% sure that there is no obvious link with the ones from Ulmbach and Dudestii Noi!].
