Dear John, This might be a bit off course but in the Military Archives I found that the 37th Infantry Regigment did garrison duty at Lemberg in 1866 as few years after 1848. Lemberg was located in Galicia and known as Lvov by the Ukrainians and the Poles had another name for it that escapes me at the moment.
