Dear List, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! I received today a book titled Bildband zum heimatbuch der Stadt Weisskirchen im Banat. I happen to come across it on Ebay and my dear friend picked it up while he was in Germany last week and brought it back to the States for me. The book is in beautiful condition and right around 500 pages of photos! I am just starting to look through it and figure it will take me a while due to my very slow reading of German. But, should anyone be looking for people in Weisskirchen, please feel free to email me and I will happily be on the look out for anything that might help. In the mean time, I am just so excited, I can't tell you! Michelle Searching: Weisskirchen - Erger, Weiss, Springer, Habschied Erdivic - Rumencic, Boza

Would anyone please know where the family of Jakob Kulburg and his wife Eva Lux of Perjamosch moved to? Jakob was born there in 1822 and Eva was born there in 1826. They married at Perjamosch in 1845 and had four children: Magdalena (died 1849), Philipp (born 1845), Eva (born 1848), and Katharina (born 1851). At some point Eva married Jakob Piller and Katharina married Nikolaus Kronberger (born 1849 at Neusiedel, son of Johann Kronberger and Barbara Schutz). Katharina Kronberger survived Nikolaus and died on 30 January 1924 at Bogarosch. I do not know when and where Nikolaus died. I am interested in where Jakob and Eva Kulburg died and where their daughters Eva and Katharina got married to their respective husbands. Thank you. Darrel Hockley Regina, SK, Canada
Dear researchers, my book “German Bourgeois Families of Gross-Kikinda before WWII” is now published in English. It describes the German families and their contribution to the development of Gross-Kikinda. Among these Donauschwabes were merchants, large landowners and those who created new industries. They left their stamp on the city in the form of their architecture and cultural monuments. These German citizens have now disappeared from the scene almost 70 years ago and without my book, the story of their roll in the development of the city would be entirely forgotten as well. The book with 183 pages and 200 illustrations, in English language is now in the printing process. Price 15 Euro (ore US $ 20). Please ordered the book from the author, Marta Istvan, at [email protected]
Robert - can you please contact me off list? Thanks. Judy Van Dusen [email protected]

Hello Danube Swabian Researchers, (for German please see below) We just heard that Armin Mayer published the 1st part of Karlsruhe Family book, pertaining to the Fortress of Durlach (Baden-Durlach today) and its surrounding area. Covering the years 1688 to 1761. For the list of names please see: http://www.ak-bd.de/images/PDFS/FN-Hof-KB-Durlach.pdf. To order the book at Euros 45.00 plus shipment: ISBN: 978-3-86424-162-8 (http://www.cardamina.net/artikeldetails.php?aid=409) Congratulations and thanks to Armin Mayer for his great contribution! ISBN: 978-3-86424-162-8 (http://www.cardamina.net/artikeldetails.php?aid=409) …….
