I have a copy of “The Germans of Colonial Georgia” 1733-1783 by George F Jones, 1986 which I would give to anyone who has a use for it------in return for postage payment. Although I cannot document it, this volume was originally part of Stefan Stader’s library. Dave Dreyer

Hi Nancy, The entire “banaterheide” website that hosted the Alexanderhausen book, along with a few other family books, was dismantled. The Alexanderhausen Familienbuch was removed from the internet at that time. I do not what the problem was, or know why this was done. There are family books for Ostern and Grabatz. I believe that both books are still available, and can be ordered from he HOG for tha particular village. You can check the banatbooks website at www.banatbooks.com for a full list of available books, prices and contact infor for how to order them. Diane, I can confirm Mathias's parental info and siblings as Karen states from the Hatzfeld family book (Henz), page 620. Unfortunately, the only Eva Servo I can find was born in 1841 and died in 1849, so she passed away in her youth. Is it possible your Eva went by a middle name or nickname? Id did search all of the Servos in the Hf book, but I did not find any with a birth year of 1836 at all.My only thought is she had a different birth name and 1836 may not be accurate, but this is only a guess. Please let me know if you need anything else checked in the Hatzfeld book, and best wishes on your search. Hello, I have recently solved one mystery and found a new one. Johann Beck born approximately 1806. Parents are Michael and Elisabetha Beck. The family moved to Jabuka after the birth of their two children Christian and Johann.... around 1806-7-8? and before 1811. There is a city of origin listed in the death record of Christian (1809 in Jabuka). The record claims that Christian was born in Veschesten. Veschesten? I have no idea where this city might be.... Any insight would be helpful. Thank you in advance. One brick wall down.... just to find a new one. Rita

Hello All, Does anyone know of a family book or online resource for the village of Vrsac/Werschetz in the Banat? I am looking for a Catharina Otz, born in Werschetz. She moved to Jabuka, Banat and passed away there in 1851. At the time of her death, she was married to Johann Beck. I am trying to determine if Johann was from Werschetz or from Jabuka. Thank you for your help in advance. Rita
