    3. Just for clarification: the Abbreviation "SV" in the context of the familybook Ostern means Schreibvariante (spelling variant) and not: Sohn von (son of) and I guess, it is not meant a spelling variant of the father's name Lesch but for the mothers name: Burg Maria Anna Anni > Bemerk: Vater: Sohn Von: (Borg, Burger); > -- GRATIS für alle GMX-Mitglieder: Die maxdome Movie-FLAT! George -- so do I -- nothing like holding the book all curled up on the sofa .... that's what I say -- I treasure my Glogowoatrz Familienbuch -- guess I was just dreaming about downloading a copy -- guess I would still need to print the book to make research doable. 2. Don't forget, publishers have money tied up in inventory until a book sells. Print-on-order avoids that cost. 1. Re: [BANAT-L] Thode book
    2. Probably more expensive than a mass edition book, but the editions of Familienbücher are not very large, anyway. There also have to be savings in overhead and interest for print-to-order books. 1. [BANAT-L] Translations of Microfilm
    2. Hello: I noticed a lot of the microfilm from the FHL are in Hungarian and Latin. ARe there people from the list who will translate them? I know a little Latin from my days as an altar boy but that was 45 years ago or so. Regarding the Hungarian language, I have heard that is a real difficult language to learn. I do understand a little German being exposed to it in a couple of Microfilm that I rented, enough to know the words Births, Baptisms, Marriages, and Deaths in German. Sincerely, Dave Weinfurtner

    1. [BANAT-L] Mt. Angel Conference Sept. 16-19th
    2. Rosina T Schmidt
    3. Hello to my Danube Swabian Cousins, Good news just reached me, that the producer of THE FORGOTTEN GENOCIDE documentary, ANN MORRISON will join us at our Mt. Angel conference, providing her little kids don't come down with H1N1 virus at the that time or any such calamity. That really is exiting news and please all of us keep our fingers crossed for Ann! Ann hopes also to do some interviews for her upcoming documentary and we hope that other survivors of the genocide will join us and share their tragic story. It would be a great opportunity to get this recorded for the future! If you have any problems with registering your attendance at www.dsheritage.com please let Steve Herold know: steveh@heroldtech.com I am looking forwards to see you all at our 10th (!!!) Treffen!
