    3. This is my husband's line. Appel Family First Generation 1. John1 Appel was born 18 April 1804 in Altheim, Germany. He died 7 October 1875 in Baltimore City, Maryland. I have his death certificate. He married Susan Schichadanz 24 April 1830 in Altheim, Germany. He married Margaret [Unknown] abt 1854. Margaret was born 1822. John was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census Baltimore City, Maryland. John Appel and Susan Schichadanz had the following child: +2 i. Nicholas2 Appel was born 1839 in Altheim, Germany. John Appel and Margaret [Unknown] had the following child: 3 ii. Sarah Appel was born Baltimore City, Maryland 1855. Second Generation 2. Nicholas2 Appel (John1) was born 1839. He married Catherine Loeb before 1865. Catherine was born 1844. I have not located a death certificates yet for either or their marriage license. There is a Nicholas Appel buried in Holy Redeemer but he is with a wife with the first name of Dorothy and the tombstones also say Father-Mother. Nicholas was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census Baltimore City, Maryland. Nicholas Appel and Catherine Loeb had the following children: 4 i. William3 Appel was born Baltimore City, Maryland 1865. 5 ii. Elizabeth Appel was born Baltimore City, Maryland 1868. +6 iii. John Henry Appel was born 10 September 1875. Third Generation 6. John Henry3 Appel (Nicholas2, John1) was born Baltimore City, Maryland 10 September 1875. John died 15 March 1922 Baltimore City, Maryland, at 46 years of age. His body was interred 18 March 1922 Baltimore City, Maryland, Holy Redeemer Cemetery. He married twice. He married Elizabeth Soellner ca. 1899. I haven't located a marriage record yet. Elizabeth was born Maryland 4 August 1875. Elizabeth was the daughter of Frederick Soellner and Anna Stougel. Elizabeth was listed as a half orphan with her siblings in the 1880 Census Baltimore City, Maryland. The 1900 census indicates both her parents were born in Germany as do her death certificate and those of her siblings. He married Capitola [unknown] after 1904. The 1920 census indicates both her parents were born in Maryland. I have located their marriage record yet or her death certificate. John was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census Baltimore City, Maryland. He resided Baltimore City, Maryland 6 June 1900, 274 [Unreadable] Street. John was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census Baltimore City, Maryland. He resided Baltimore City, Maryland 7 January 1920, 1906 Wilkens Avenue. The 1900 and 1920 census indicates correctly that both his parents were born in Germany. He worked for GE(?) and was working on a machine when he got hit in the stomach by a piece of wood. This caused his death. John Henry Appel and Elizabeth Soellner had the following children: +7 i. William George4 Appel was born ca. September 1899. 8 ii. Eleanor Appel was born Maryland ca 1903. 9 iii. Edward Appel was born Maryland ca 1904. Fourth Generation 7. William George4 Appel (John Henry3, Nicholas2, John1) was born Maryland ca. September 1899. William died 14 December 1961 Baltimore City, Maryland, at 62 years of age. His body was interred 16 December 1961 Baltimore City, Maryland, Holy Redeemer Cemetery. He married Mary Teresa Fischer ca 1920. Mary was born ca 1899. Mary was the daughter of Bernard Aloysuis Fischer and Sarah Jane Franz. Mary died ca 1987 in Baltimore Co., Md. Her body was interred ca 1987 Baltimore City, Maryland, Holy Redeemer Cemetery. He resided Baltimore City, Maryland 14 December 1961, 5102 Frankford Avenue. William George Appel and Mary Teresa Fischer had the following children: 10 i. William J.5 Appel. 11 ii. Bernard Appel. 12 iii. Mary Eleanor Appel was born 12/16/1921. Does any of this match up?
