Loudon is one of those places that has a split personality, sometimes they are very nice and helpful and others they are only helpful if you pay them. I have heard some ridiculous amounts that they have charged people for information. On my visit last week, I was given a location and a couple of maps and sent on my way. After twenty minutes of trying to orient the map and counting rows and plots, I finally found a few in ground plot number markers and was able to pin down the plot to within one. Only to discover that there were no markers or headstones on the lot. A fact that most cemeteries will share with you immediately to prevent you wondering around aimlessly. I was in an older section of the cemetery within thirty yards of the railroad tracks which were not fenced off. All in all, a rather interesting experience.
