    1. [BALTGEN-L] RE: Death records
    2. I'm sure someone has asked and had this question answered before, but here goes again. My ancestor died in 1831 in Baltimore County. Where will I find records of his death, such as a death certificate, where he was buried, and if he had a will? And if he didn't have a will and died intestate, where would I find those records? Thanks so much for any help. Susan

Sac> Susan I don't believe civil birth and death records were being kept at this time in Maryland. You'll probably have to rely on church records. Most of the records you seek should be at the state archives. http://www.mdarchives.state.md.us/ On their web site, you can find out what records are available, how to order them or, what hours the research room is open if you are close enough to visit in person. Researching: APPEL, BOROWSKI, CERNOHORSKY, DEMBOWCZYK, HAAS, PIETROWIAK, ZARAS
